In knowing that each and every one of us that have experienced this great truth of the Apostolic way ,
we all have individual and specific testimonies , we also know that each and every testimony is yet just another manifestation
of the miraculous power of God . That has of course been poured down on us by the baptism of the Holy Ghost .
Originally , this site was not intended for a place of my personal testimony . Although , I have a testimony
regarding my salvation experience that is truly a show of God's miraculous and saving power . The intention here was a place
for God's Apostolic people to speak up and out for God's glory .
As I was getting my thoughts together to build this site and get it online , I had asked the Lord
to bless the work of this site , and that if even just one time , God's people could be touched , along with a lost soul
, my time would be well spent .
The testimonial occasion here works out to be a testimony that is personal to me , and
ends up being another persons testimony of God's work from the exact oposite , other hemisphere of the world
.
So..... Here goes .... I picked up the phone to make the needed calls to secure the web
address and set up an account so I could start building the site and get it online . I spoke to a lady on the phone that took
my initial information so she could then , in turn , get a Webhosting sales person on the line for me . I had such a burden
for this project that was burning inside me and was excited that someone , somewhere might be touched by God's spirit , somewhere
along the way , and in time .
I got transfered to a Webhosting sales person who introduced herself as Lori . This strikingly kind
voice began to ask more questions in near perfect english with an Asian dialect . Her spirit , tone and willingness was
one I surely began to think I recognized .
I asked Lori if she minded me asking what part of the world she was in , and she responded that she
was in the Phillipines . I commended her english and not much else was said along those lines other than her appreciation
of my commendation .
As Lori confirmed the web address I requested , she politley spoke up and said she new that verse
. I asked her which verse she was speaking of . She began to quote , " then Peter said unto them , Repent and be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost " .
Man , did my eyes light up ! I felt sure she was somewhat speaking in a way to not be heard by others around her . Knowing
she was at work and in that part of the world , I felt confident that religious and political topics
over the phone with customers must surely be forbidden .
Of course , when Lori quoted Acts 2:38 , I sat straight up and said " PRAISE GOD ! HOW
DO YOU KNOW THAT VERSE " ? . Lori answers me with a question . She asked me if it was ok if she asked me something
. Still , I can tell she is trying to not be overheard at work . I told her , " of course " you can ask me anything about
that scripture " . Lori says to me , " would you happen to be Apostolic " ? Ok , so now I am on my feet . " OF COURSE
I AM APOSTOLIC " !!! Lori , in this quiet , perect Asian dialect says , " I too am Apostolic " .
Brothers and sisters , the Holy Ghost fell on me and brought gallons of tears of joy to my face and
heart . The site had not yet even been published and my hopes and prayers for the site were already being answered . We sort
of had a moment of praising God and tried to get back on topic . I had asked her if she thought it would be ok if I posted
her testimony regarding the Apostolic life in the Phillipines so we could all enjoy her testimony on the site .
Lori O. , as I refer to her now , has of course become a great sister and friend of acts238saves.org
. She has been communicating with the website as her time allows and has sent the site a few emails with portions of her
testimony . She has no computer at home so she counts solely on a break at work to communicate with the site .
What you really need to grasp here , to truly appreciate her testimony and the way God moved
so the site could post her testimony , is that Lori O. lives in what is refered to as the 10/40 zone . Meaning 10 to 40 degrees
north of the equador in the eastern hemisphere . Exact oposite of us here in the USA .
Something lke 70% of the worlds population lives in that zone . I believe recent numbers reflect
that within that zone something like 83% of the population is muslim , The rest is a mixed bag of some form of religion ranging
from hinduism , to buhdism to catholicism . I really couldn't say for sure , but I would imagine that the born of the water
and of the Spirit , Holy Ghost filled population is unfortunately a micro drop in the bucket in the 10/40 zone in comparison
.
With all that said and considered , only God could have worked it out to where two Holy Ghost filled
saints from all the way around the world with odds so small , could end up in fellowship , praising God and feeling the
witnesss of his spirit for a media ministry such as this . All the way around the world !!!!!
